Remembering Anne Codd
Longtime IU senior staff member Anne Codd, Executive Director of the International’s Health Programs and chief administrator of the International Health Fund (IHF), died on March 13th after a brief illness. She was 49.
A native of Ireland, Anne served as administrator for BAC Local 3 California’s health fund prior to joining the IU staff in 1994. Since taking the reins of IHF in 2001, she helped build IHF into a financially secure fund with more than 4,000 participants and assets of $20 million. In addition to her executive duties, Anne’s dedication to personally addressing even the most routine matters with speed and thoroughness earned the lasting respect and gratitude of plan participants and Trustees alike. Anne had also been heavily involved with the implementation of the health care reform following passage of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act last year.
“Anne worked tirelessly to improve the health and lives of BAC members, and she will be greatly missed by all our staff, our affiliates and the IHF Board of Trustees,” said IU President James Boland.
